Wilson Law Group is thrilled to announce that Minnesota Women Lawyers will be presenting WLG with its 2014 Leadership Award on May 19th. Minnesota Women Lawyers established its Leadership Award to recognize legal employers throughout the state that strive to enhance the status, influence and effectiveness of women lawyers in their employ.
From the Award Nomination: “Wilson Law Group has been developing innovative ways to promote women in the legal profession and to facilitate a healthy work life balance for all staff members since the firm’s inception [in 2003]…Women are recruited and hired at all levels at WLG. WLG currently has twelve attorneys, of which ten are women…Women occupy the majority of the leadership roles within the firm…Currently four of the five senior-level positions are occupied by women…WLG has a strong track record in its retention of female employees. Six of the ten female attorneys currently employed at WLG have been at the firm for at least three years…WLG supports the professional development of its female staff in both formal and informal ways… Mentoring of associate attorneys and other staff occurs on a daily basis at WLG as a result of the collaborative, team-based approach and a firm wide “open door” policy. As the firm grows, so does its commitment to enhance the status, influence and effectiveness of women lawyers.”
