Matthew Burian

Matthew is a Senior Legal Assistant at Wilson Law Group. He assists with a variety of matters, including visa processing, naturalization applications, family-based petitions, employment-base applications, and asylum. Before coming to Wilson Law Group, Matthew got his master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Transformation from The University of Tromsø – the Arctic University of Norway. While there, Matthew worked as a research assistant for Project Wargame, a group of scholars studying the way war, violence, and history are depicted in video games. He has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Chinese, and Political Science from Concordia College. During his time there, Matthew studied in Alicante, Spain and Chongqing, China, and worked at the Concordia Language Villages and the Office of Global Learning. He is interested in languages as a tool for communication as well as a form of art, and finding ways to use politics, law, and government to help people.
